January, the longest month of the year
After the December frenzy, when Everyone is busy doing the last preparations and Christmas is suddenly just behind the corner, it's already January the 1st.
January: cold, dark and, above all, very long. For me it's slightly sad because it means that Christmas festivities are over. No more Christmas movies, colour full lights and extra large sweaters with reindeer or snowflakes over it. And Epiphany? Please, don't talk to me about it. I know there's still someone who loves to wake up and find the socks full of candies; personally I always live this day as the one that carries away all festivites; when I was a child simply meant the last holiday before going back to school.
My solution to get over this slow and lethargic month is, as usual, try to find its positive aspects: no more holiday binge eating, see you soon to the drunk uncle and to those family selfies where you looks like an horror actress, new spring collection at Zara. I don't know if it's worth the risk. Anyway: welcome January, I wish you won't be too long this year.
Oh, by the way, happy new year! :)
