Panettone or Pandoro? Pandoro or Panettone?
What did Hamlet say? "To be or not to be, that is the question!" At Christmas: "panettone o pandoro?": this is the real question!
20/11/2018. Christmas has came and it has already run off on everybody. People are happy, cities and country are adorned with the typical Christmas ornaments and the atmosphere is clearly magical. What would mess up all this? Italy, 23:59, Christmas Eve: "what should we eat? Panettone o pandoro?"
Well, I'm not here to tell you what is right and what is wrong, anyway I would like to tell something about each one:
Eating Panettone
- "Oh no! What if candied fruits get caught in grandpa denture?!" At Christmas nothing matters more than your grandpa. He's the king of the celebration and everything revolves around him.
- Well, if we eat panettone we don't see anyone shaking icing sugar envelopes all around home! How many times has happened that the sugar has fallen down on the floor?!
- I don't like raisin! ...
Eating Pandoro
- "I prefer it with the icing sugar!", "for me without it please!" ...
- "Let's cut it horizontally, into star-shaped slices!" ...
Pandoro o panettone: what would you like the most? The thing is that they're both the typical desserts of aggregation. With or without candied fruit, chocolate chips filled or not, it doesn't matter.
You will never eat them alone, as Christmas tradition wants. Anyway, nothing prohibits you to eat both!
