If you’re in Madrid you should visit the Mercado. The city offers a lot from the point of view of food and entertainment, but San Miguel Market is the perfect place if you are looking for the typical and traditional Spanish food.
It isn’t too big, it takes about 10minutes to visit all the market, but for the passionate food lovers it is a very luna park. Here, you can buy tapas, drinks, ham, fish. Every euro is well spent. It is bourgeois and smart, maybe a bit noisy but it’s a touristic place.

Opened in May 1916, the San Miguel Market was a simple food market. In 2009, this centenary iron building has become the first gastronomic market of Madrid. Furthermore, During 2018, the market has enriched its food contents.
