Frosting... What? Surely who loves pastry and cake design knows it very well. Personally, I’ve never loved sweets too much “sweet” and for this reason, things like frosting or sugar paste are not my cup of tea. Anyway, today I’ve tried to make vanilla frosting following an American recipe and I’m very proud of the result! Perfect for cupcakes/ muffins decorations or for cakes filling.
- In a stand mixer, whip the butter cold and cut into small pieces until light in color. Add 250g of powdered sugar and the vanilla seed and whip for about 5minutes.
- Then, add other 250g of powdered sugar and whip again, until sugar is incorporated.
- Add the last 125g of powdered sugar, together with the cream and whip until airy and soft.
