La Mozzarella In Carrozza

Veggie Broccoli and ricotta bites, easy to make and delicious, perfect to start a meal.

- 150g Broccoli
- 100g Ricotta cheese
- 1 Egg
- 2 tbsp Grated cheese
- Nutmeg to taste
- Salt to taste
- Precooked corn flour
- Peanut vegetable oil for frying


- Cut broccoli into small florets and rinse them very well. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and cook until tender. Drain and let cool completely.

- In a large bowl, mash the broccoli florets with a fork, add the ricotta, the grated cheese and a pinch of nutmeg. Taste and season with a pinch of salt if necessary.

- Add the beaten egg and stir until perfectly combined.

- Shape the mixture into small balls and coat them into the pre cooked corn flour. Heat the oil and when it reaches the temperature, fry the balls until golden brown.
